Genealogy/Research Inquiries

The CHS has frequent requests for genealogy information about ancestors who lived in Charlestown or research questions connected to Charlestown events.

At this time, the CHS has very limited resources to assist such queries, and generally refers such inquirers to the organizations listed at the bottom of this page (please report any broken links).

It is hoped that in the near future, some practical guidance and articles by successful researchers will be incorporated into this section, as well as images of the source documents.

It would also be helpful to fellow researchers, that if during your research you find additional helpful resources, that the information is forwarded to the CHS, and it can be added to the links below. - please note that these links to external sources do not offer any special privileges, and that most of these organizations and societies also require memberships to access their databases and records.
