Charlestown's Attic - Remember Today is Tomorrow's History

The Charlestown Historical Society is interested in acquiring items for our "attic" archives, such as letters, histories, memoirs, or photographs related to the history of our town.

We are not focused on a single eventful day in the history of our country. Rather we are interested in preserving the entire history of Charlestown - its traditions, its people and their stories. To this end we wish to hear from you with histories and anecdotes of your sojourn in the Town. Two examples of unique Charlestown history on which we are currently working, are cataloging of a large collection of photographs of "The Bunker Hillbillies" to identify members and date the events, and research on stories and poems about "looping".

To make your donation contact:

We will use this "Attic" section of the website to update the community on donations and on our research. Thank you.
