New Projects
The are many projects the CHS Board would like to run with, however it is impractical for the active Board members and membership to take on too much work - hence the constant search for volunteers!
The following are the current projects:
Cataloguing the Office Archives - Arthur Hurley.
Arthur is sifting through the material that is in the CHS office - mostly documents, photographs, pamphlets. newspapers and cuttings etc.
However, the major task is still off-site, where the largest part of the original CHS museum archives and materials are still in storage (as a result of the museum refurbishment project). Progressing this cataloguing activity requires an intermediate storage area where the large packing cases can be unpacked and the contents sorted - todate, no such facility has been made available in Charelstown.
